Reaper mutes unmuted objects
So I'm having this problem:
I have a some songs and Reaper mutes unmuted objects at some point in time. It's not random objectwise and timewise (meaning it occurs at specific objects at specific time. They are not muted, automated, splitted, they are not muted because volume exceeds a certain threshold, and no plugin is causing this. I've tried to open the project to a second PC with a different Reaper version (6.15 & 6.19) but still the same thing. Any ideas?

It's automute feature. To change the behaviour go to Preferences->Mute/Solo.

Are the "objects" (items?) muted visually as well, or just audibly?

And if you move the "object" in time, will the mute be moved as well?

OK, last:
If you import the original source of the "object" (that mutes) to a new REAPER project on a new track, will it still mute?

Then you will need to analyze the source. If the "object" is a MIDI item you will need to check for some muting data. If it's audio – well, I have no idea, actually ... (unless the audio is silent at the muting point, but that's too obvious, and something you would have thought of first, so ...)

It's audio and not silent or muted

What happens if/when you play the source in another host?

Maybe this:
Reapers manual page 30
Project Settings: Advanced
- Item Mix Behavior. Determines
how REAPER behaves when one
media item is placed directly on top
of another. Options are for Enclosed
Items to Replace enclosing items,
Items always to be mixed, or for the
newer item to replace older item.
Try setting items always mix.

you can set the "Mix Behaviour" also single for each Item
I had the same issue cause i put two monotracks into one stereo track to be able to control it as a stereo track.
if you dont click on "item mix behaviour": ITEMS ALWAYS MIX then one channel could be muted. Also you need to adjust the panning of each monotrack inside the ITEM PROPERTIES Window.
right click on media; item properties; item mix behaviour: select "items always mix".
Adjust panning in some field below. if you dont fix the panning your track panning is a bit f...ed up. You need to tell each track were to go exactly in the Item properties.
here is a video:

Although ... OP said the item is not split, and he also imported the original source into a new project on a single track, and the mute is still there.
Maybe OP will test it in another host (my last question @ post #12).

Have you looked at velocity? Perhaps the curves were redrawn in some areas, causing that.
