Unhappy Nektar Impact LX49 makes piano sound along with drums

Hi Reaper People!

Just installed a Nektar Impact LX49 midi controller and connected it with Reaper 6.03 in my Windows 10 system.

I was able to create a couple of tracks with piano melody, piano chords, and synth.

Then I opened a new track and put Steven Slate SSD drums on it as the virtual instrument. When I strike the keys on the Impact LX49 controller, I can see the SSD drum elements engaging just like they were being hit. But what I hear is the sound of piano in the foreground and drums lightly in the background. I don't know how to get the drums without the piano coming in.

Thanks for any ideas.

Is the piano track still RecArmed?

Have you got the MIDI Output of the track routed to anywhere? Check the track's Routing window.

Good oh To help out others with a similar-sounding problem, what did you do to resolve it?
