This theme is incredible. I think it will become my new default!
Having an issue with the theme adjuster though: It doesn't save my mods. Every time I open a project, all the changes I did with the Theme Adjuster (I hide a lot of features on the TCP) are gone and the TCP is back to its default look.

I think I found the issue. I did some tweaks in the Theme tweak/configuration window and it seems to create a disparity between the theme and the Theme Adjuster, forcing the theme to revert to its initial TA settings. I'll test this solution tonight:

So, my trials have led me to the conclusion that as long as you use clear Default theme - all the changes made in the Theme Adjuster are saved and work great.
As long as you change anything in the Theme tweak/configuration window, any color, even just one, it's no longer the Default Theme and so immideately no changes are saved anymore.
But if you save your customized theme to a dedicated theme file (it's made in that Tweak/configuration window) and put it's name to the reaper-themeconfig.ini file instead of [Default_6.0] - it works great again!
And you can still use the Theme Adjuster - you just need to run it from the Actions Menu.
Time will tell, but for now it seems working.

Hi,
I hope it works, if not copy the default 6 lua script and rename it or run it through actions list.

It worked! In the Theme tweak/configuration window, I saved the theme under a new name. Then I duplicated your Theme Adjuster and changed its name to the same one as the newly saved theme. Now all settings are saved and recalled!

You can also google "color picker browser extension" or you can use inspect function in the browser to color pick any color and then copy the R G B codes and insert in track color.

Best theme
This theme is so good... clean, clear, functional... By far the best theme that gets out of your way and connects you with the work. Fantastic job.

Works well for my needs. Had to muck with the gridlines as I guess "clean' means turning some off.
Would like to find a way to lighten the main window background color.
There is an issue with the transport position readout in the display numbers as they are jumping around a lot during transport movement I think the default theme does not suffer from this one.
Thanks for providing this to us. I will likely make a donation as I did some work on a theme and know how much time it takes to do it as well as this one.

Yes, that was my purpose - to have a theme that gets out of the way and lets us focus on whats important. Thank you.

You can alter all the colors in theme tweaker action (you can find it in actions list) For the main window you will have 2 colors: odd tracks and even tracks.
Im not sure what do you mean by transport position, maybe if you can make a gif i might be able to help you.

Hi Lerian,
Thanks for the answers. On track background color I tried everyone of them but what you recommended. Thanks so much for pointing out where to set the background!
By transport position. I mean the digital readout that displays the location of the play cursor when it the grid is moving. Let me know if that helps. I will upload a pic if needed. Or maybe a small video so you can see that display numbers bouncing around. Maybe it is just on my end. But the default Ver 6 Them does not have this issue as I checked.
Thanks again for the efforts and help!

Ok, i got it, i wasnt using the secondary status. This is a font issue, nothing wrong with the theme. Its about how the font is constructed, unfortunately the font i used is not a fixed size font, meaning that each character have its own width. Therefore 1 is thinner than 8 and while the characters are rapidly changing thats why that jumping effect. It does the same on the default theme with the same font.
You can use the attached font, this one have a fixed sizing (not 100% but much better)
You may want to also change its vertical position on line 1317 from:
Code:
size status 123 3 450 36
to
Code:
size status 123 0 450 36
to be displayed properly

Enjoying this theme but just noticed in the midi editor there are no colours for the events, all in grey. Default v6 theme works as should. Can't see it mentioned anywhere here or in readme so not sure if a bug

Hi,
Tried to donate just now and got this:
Something went wrong
We couldn't process this donation. Please try again later, this could just be a temporary glitch.
I used the Amex card and maybe they don't take that? Did that in case of an exchange fee. So I guess I try tomorrow.
A couple questions for the developer:
1. Is there a way to lighten the fader vertical dB numbers? I could not find them in the Theme tweak/Action Item editor.
2. Is the fix for the transport digital readout (Font Issue), part of the new update? I have a lot of customization now on your prior theme version. I want to lesson the amount I have to do for a new theme update.
Thanks,
LBro

Added some art-based separator layouts for cooler look and why not - better mood, maybe some inspiration.
The update is almost ready now (only to adapt new separators for tcp) but someone said the midi editor is not that good looking with midi notes being shades of grey, i thought anyone could always use track colors, should i try maybe making it a 3 color gradient from dark grey to white and then to yellow or red? Or just pack it and release it now? Or maybe use a ligher shade? When selected they become grey/yellow/red. Ofc one can always use the gradient map from another theme, that havent changed since v4.

Explicit as in Adult content?
I guess it's finding the right balance of Scale Complexity and Contrast,
but well.. you're the Expert on that!
I just thought it would be cool to see some Paisely motifs, as it can give an organic/premium feeling,
and well.. it would match my taskbar which is a plus.
I dig the Modernist and the Hindu? motifs you used so far tho!

The first separator in your middle screenshot and the third separator in your bottom screenshot are a perfect blend of "cool to look at but not distracting" for me.
The others look really cool at first, but they quickly start distracting me from what I should be looking at.

Yeah I agree, the last Bubbly pattern is the *easiest one I would say..
(also the first Triangular one)
While the *hardest could be the Zig-zag pattern in the very middle, as it gives somewhat of a 3D effect..
Although on the other hand it could be done on Purpose for a more Holotropic/fractal effect:
http://tiny.cc/7rhukz
Btw if you ever need to generate fractals I would recommend (the mindblowing) Apophisis no-doubt:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apophysis_(software)
..and that's probably going a bit too off-topic

Explicit I meant the gears, too.. how to say this.. stiff? rigid? conformist? feeling.
Paisleys look good though, a bit psychedelic, i will include some.

I like the way the border 'lights up' on the phase and envelope buttons.
does the border light up on the I/O button depending on the state of the 'Master'?
It would be nice to have simple change like that to identify what state the Master send is in without opeing the i/o.

Humble request
Hi, I was wondering if you could, perhaps, construct a version of mcp/tcp with one of the separators "built in" so to say? So, the separator is part of the track layout itself? The reason is, I'm working quite a bit on surfaces, and having lots of stray tracks kind of messes with my setup.
Perhaps others would also like to have this option?

Sorry guys for the delay, last night made about 30 models of separators for the donors package, instead of sending the update with 5. Took some time finding seamless patterns, cleaning up watermark, coloring, testing, etc. I liked this idea, so i included grids, swirls, cubism art, paisleys, ethnic motifs, and more. I want to make a consistent update and maybe automate the update process. I also found some new bugs and thats why it took longer than i expected. Tonight i will make some meters and i think i will release it.
Thank you for your patience.

I'm afraid using a track is the only option for separators, at least to my knowledge of walter. I guess WT could make something like the space around folders to work as separator, but enabled only for folder tracks or all tracks at once, and the images would be included in the MCP. Not even in theory i dont really know how to do it, but if you open up a thread maybe someone else could come up with a hack - maybe a script, idk.
I'm having the same problem with the controller.. would be nice if its possible.
================================================
Later edit:
Actually the number of separators for the donors package is 45. I will also include one from each category in the standard version.
And a small preview

No worries, i kept working on it now so you just mind your work instead of finding and reporting bugs.
I finished the meters, but im a bit too tired now to make the package so i will revisit the meters in the morning, maybe add some more and then release the package tomorrow.
Thank you for understanding.
