jack audio
I'm using openSUSE Tumbleweed with multimediaroaudio repo ( co-founder).
Inside kde plasma i'm using pipewire + wireplumber. when i try to open a VST i see this message: "Low RTTIME limiot detected RLIMIT_RTTIME is set to 200000 us. This can happen when using PipeWire's JACK backend with RTKit instead of regular realtime scheduling. Some plugins may crash during initialization because of this, so it's recommended to set up proper realtime privileges for your user. Check the readme for instructions on how to do that. " I have /ect/pipewire/jack.conf and inside: libpipewire-module-rtkit = { args = { nice.level = -11 rt.prio = 88 rt.time.soft = 200000 rt.time.hard = 200000 } flags = [ ifexists nofail ] } I'm using Yabridge to open Windows vst as "native" Linux with wine. some Windows VST doesn't open when i'm using Jack : Failed to initialize VST2 plugin read: End of file Check the plugin's output in a terminal for more information Source: Pianoteq 6 (64-bit).so but with pluseaudio or Alsa it's all ok |

Start by trying to double your rt.times to a larger amount (provided you have enough memory). I'm running mine at around 500000 right now, and I may even increase it. Reaper used to get killed by the OOM Killer in my system before that. In your case, try:
rt.time.soft = 400000 rt.time.hard = 400000 Try it and see if it helps. |
