Thanks much Michael, for all your help, you were very very helpful.

Regarding #5, I replaced it with #7. I added a little bit of Ac-Gtr rhythm to #6 to get #7, but I think I like it better without it.

I'll post #6 right now.

I vote for mix 7.

6 and 7 both sound good but 6 sounded just a little edgy to me.

Thanks Timothy, could you explain your reasons for that.

Incidentally, you wouldn't be related to the Lawlers in Montana would you?

Okay, this is my last and final mix #8, it's posted on my first post. Thanks to all who have listened and commented, it was a huge help to me.

Much better than the first rendition. I like the overall feel of it without getting hung up on any of the instruments.
Good stuff Tod.

Very cool! It does have that sketti western feel to it. I love the drums not doing a straight beat with kick, snare and cymbal. It really makes the music move with the rolls. Good job!

Thanks a lot Jeff, I've got my own Native Drums in this along with SMDrums, I think they worked well together.

Well, I like the latest version - production aside (which at this point I think is pretty darn good!), you've composed a cool piece of music that I'd be humming as I'm leaving the theater if this was the soundtrack for a modern western.

That's MY big weakness ... writing catchy tunes that people will remember. I like it a lot.

I enjoyed that. My dad used to take my brothers and me to airshows when we were kids. We'd usually go every summer to the Trenton Int'l Airshow at 8 Wing CFB Trenton and Canadian Int'l Airshow at the CNE in Toronto.

The T-Birds rarely came to Canada in those days. We only saw them once in Toronto. We really enjoyed their show.

Thanks Sammy, ha ha, I'm not sure what you mean but I'll take it as something good.

Thanks Kirk, I've seen the Thunderbirds several times in my life time. The first was in Madison Wisc when I was in my mid 20s, that would be in the 60s. I also saw them when I was my band was playing in Great Falls Montana in my early 70s.

They've been in Kalispell MT 3 or 4 times in the last 25-30 years. They were here 2 years ago and one of the pilots was from Kalispell. I live close to the airport and they showed up 3 or 4 days ahead of time to practice and get to know the area. It took them right over the house.

I'm an old pilot myself and it totally amazes/mystifies me to watch both the Thunderbirds and the Blue Angels who were also here about 3 years ago.

We have The Snowbirds here in Canada, as you know. So I think airshows are careful not to book too many precision teams.

I saw the Blue Angels when I was 6 (around 1969) then again in 2004. In 2004 I took this picture below, he "punched it" only 50 feet over the ocean (which is why it is nearly at eye-level) and was just touching the edge of the sound barrier before he backed off - you can see the cone that almost developed before he let off the throttle. I saw him punch it way in the distance going parallel with the beach - I had to frame with the camera with one eye and keep the other eye open in order to track it - 700 MPH isn't easy to follow that close. I gave it my best guess and took the shot as it passed by...

This is from an old gallery, I need to find the original file to export a full-size version...

And another to show how close and how many people...

Wow karbo, that's is an incredible picture. How you managed to hold the camera steady yet follow the airplane is beyond me.

I can see the air/mist forming around the cone and underneath the plane. I've actually never seen that in real time even though I've seen some extremely fast airplanes at some of the shows I've gone to.

Of course I grew up back in the days of planes breaking the sound barrier all the time. I can remember many times hearing the bang, and our windows being rattled when I was a kid. That was back in the 50s.

Yeah Kirk, I think I saw them at an airshow in Vancouver. That would have been back in the 70s.

Hi Tod, I think it is because there is enough moisture in the air on a humid day right over the ocean to make it visible. It flashed in/out 5 or 6 times within a couple seconds, but didn't completely form the cone since he backed off the throttle at the last minute. I was just trying to get the plane in the viewfinder, I had no idea that was going to happen but was happy it did.

Of the times I've seen videos of these on YT, they were also over water.

It's still amazing how you got that jet to fit perfectly at that moment. It's a picture to be proud of.

I've got to say, you're not only fine with a guitar, but you're pretty good with a camera/video too.
