LEDFEST 1.0
https://stash.reaper.fm/theme/461/LEDFEST1_01.zip
Dear Reapers, after an obsessive month I present you my first theme.
I have to thank all the users who visited the teaserthread and provided feedback that got me going. And ofcourse Sensei Tie, who got me out of tight spots more then once.
This theme is the result of my decorationtalent, not my designtalent, since almost all you see comes from other plugins, scavanged over the internet by yours truly. Screenshots cut apart, blended with a bit white & dark here and there for depth, dropshadows placed under faders.. So I also have to thank SSL, Soundcraft, Waves, Digidesign, Line 6 and a whole lot others who contributed their screenshots so unknowingly.
And ofcourse JReverb, whos Flowtektheme was the one I pasted LEDFEST over, the scrollbars are still his, with a bit of green arrowing from the friendly people at PSP.
Anyway, some pics. That's what this is about. The splashscreen:
Cut together from an old Studerlogo. Pure metal.
An overview:
Rather dark theme. To overcome eye'etching while opening the FXwindow I included a WinXPtheme in the same colors as Ledfest.
The folders:
Was quite a puzzle to get it organized in an easy way. Used an overlayhack to make the tcp-to-dark thingie, this way the folders-in-folders also look nice.
Midi:
Ofcourse I put in velocity to colormapping, but what I like most is Reaper's 'pitch'selection. I made the midi'items in the same design as the ivory on the keyboard. No real elephants have suffered too much to achieve this.
..the function were Reaper gives each note a different color according to its midichannel took me some time to think over, how is anyone going to remember 16 different colors. Ah well, just use two colors and a four bit representation. Top = MSB, green = 1.
Midi in place:
LEDFEST is a bit of a character, it want the pans under the fader in the MCP.
To run it properly, you need to 'install' the font (found in the LCDfontfolder) in your fontmap, can be found in the controlpanel. Just drag & drop it in the fontwindow that pops up, Reaper will find it.
Also included are some trackicons, I choose to made them 'widescreen', you can find a template in the folder were you can past you fav 60 by 38 pictures in a nice frame.
In several folders you can find alternative faders and vu's. I choose to use a bright fader because of the contrast it provides. Inside the 'dirtyfader'folder you find a fader made of ivory. Just drop it in the mainfolder, do not forget to backup the file that's already there. Same goes for the LEDvu, White Tie's Cornishvu, etc. I also 'ivorized' White Tie's 2.0 transportbuttons if you prefer a solid grasp on your controls.
To see the splashscreen while starting up you have to point Reaper in its direction; preferences/general/advanced UI/system tweaks.
I hope you like it!
Have fun;
Unox

Very awesome thing!
One noticing: in VMK, when I play the keys they get shaded very well. In MIDI editor, when notes are input via MIDI, they get shaded the same way. But, if I click on the piano keys with the mouse, they turn completely black. How to correct this?

I'm afraid that's a feature of Reaper. Would like to get it unfeatured too.
(Or I'm missing something in the prefs, but trust me, I did search to get rid of it)

Very slight problem here:
The left portion of the image shows that the 'x' button to hide the envelope isn't there, unless you mouse over it and then it shows up, which is shown on the right.

Feature. Didn't want to break the 'start' of the envelopelane. If you want to close it, it's the last thing you see of the envcp anyway. There's a very small red 'x' there to guide your mouse.

A triumph. Love it.
But i've had to change the midi colour map, as I can't live with that weird green and red thing. But my colour map looks even better Ledfested.
Thank you.

OK, for some reason it's not showing up in my themes list. The LEDFEST folder is in the reaper themes folder.

..the folder in the LEDFESTfolder should be in your themesfolder, along with the LEDFEST.ReaperTheme.

that maybe because it double packed (folder inside folder)
enter the folder you see, if you don't see there any files, only one folder,
move that one folder one folder back, (to themes folder).

unox, you changed the grid colours to red,
the alfa version was perfect for the grid,
so i'm lucky i still have the alfa version, and replaced the colours file.

I don't see any red in the screenshots.. I checked the .reapertheme in the folder, no red there. What grid are you referring to?

When I DL it from my sig nothing goes red...
How bout those dbscales. They aren't in the final theme, I took them out. You sure you're not looking at the alpha?

i just downloaded from your signature
i looked into the theme, the line i told you is still there
i removed all your files, and installed the new one
the red is back
ans as i told you, this line make it red
if you replace your line with this line in your theme file, you will see the red,
ans BTW, there are issues with stash (i'm on firefox),
if you want to be sure
you make a new download and not an old buffered one,
it preffer to erase all history/temporary files and restart the browser.

I see the line you mention in the themefile.
When I load the ledfest in my sig, no red.
When I load the alpha of ledfest, there is red.
So unless other people experience the same redness as you, I can't help but thinking you look at the alpha and not at 1.0. Seems like the logical conclusion as I cannot reproduce it otherwise.

- can you post here a direct downloan link ?
- i'm not sure, but i don't think this line depends on images.
i think it's a colour line, telling reaper what colour to use, regardless images.
so i think if you see this line,it must colour the grid with red, unless there's another setting.
