'Andrew', Dream Pop Version.
A little while ago I posted the song 'Andrew' which I had finally finished after 40 years. However I was not entirely happy with it. Recently though, I was listening to the Cocteau Twins and had the idea of doing a dream pop version of my song. Granted, I don't sound like Elizabeth Frazer, but here it is (or go to post #4 for the final version):

(currently a private share while I think about it).
Instrumentation is mainly Surge, except for the Addictive Keys grand piano in the chorus. Percussion is Spitfire Audio LABS Drums. Liberal use of Valhalla Supermassive.

Sorry to bore you all with this, but as no-one commented on my mix, I have carried on regardless. Not that I often get around to commenting on other peoples mixes, but I do listen to them, I promise. Anyway, here is the latest mix and it includes a nice new instrumental section after the first verse

I does seem pretty busy on this board at the moment, must be a post Christmas flurry of activity

Here is, probably, the final version, unless anyone has any suggestions or critisisms. In this version, in the arpeggio guitar like track I replaced Surge with TWang, to get a more natural and more random string tone. I added a bit more distortion to make it a more gritty. I also thought the arpeggios were a bit too melodic and were conflicting with everything else, so I simplified them. With the vocals, I found a better take for one of the more obviously out of key bits and corrected a few miss timings.

Well, it wasn't quite the finished. I cleaned up the piano in the chorus a bit and added some additional percussion here and there. Here is the final public version, although I should really re-do the vocals at some point - https://soundcloud.com/thewastersoft...ew-the-android

Art is never finished, only abandoned
EDIT: Which explains why I was abandoned as a baby. I am a work of art.

I'm sorry you didn't really get any comments aside from one. It's actually a pretty neat tune. I'm not really a pop music guy at all, but I thought it was well done and catchy. I like the lyrics because they tell a bit of a cute story.
I'm not very good at critiquing mix/mastering. It sounded fairly decent though. Things maybe get a bit hairy for a short bit at around 2:10 with the mix, but other than that it sounded good. Nice track!

Thanks for your feedback nait, I could maybe back off a bit on the sustained distorted sound at 2:10.

I did back off the sound that I think was causing the issue that @nait mentioned. I replaced the file on soundcloud, so it's the same link. We can consider this song officially abandoned.
Edit: Not quite fully abandoned, I made a small change to the piano solo so that the repeats are slightly different.
