thankyou reaper guys for the automation/envelope listening and tweaks here, should make a bit more sense in day to day use - though don't stop whilst on a roll on that topic!
noticed no bug fixes of note - none to squash perhaps?
must be like keeping a clean sheet... satisfying.
(whilst we're talking footy)

What does that exactly mean? Can someone explain in a practical real life setting?

I think that might mean that faders will move now even when envelopes aren't visible.

Yes that's it.
DeyBwah, until now, if you have (for example) a volume envelope (or an FX parameter envelope), then in Read mode the changes caused by the envelope would be visible in fader movements in TCP and MCP only of the envelope itself was visible.
If you hid the envelope, the on-screen faders would no longer move, even in Read mode. This was quite confusing, it could lead you to wonder whether or not the envelope was active.
Now you have an option in Envelope Preferences to still show fader movements when the envelope is hidden. By default this preference is on.

So if it were in trim/read mode though, and the envelope was hidden, would it still not be visible on the faders? Or was it the same behavior as read mode?
And yes, that's very confusing, thank Krom it's fixed!

In Trim/Read mode the fader movements are not shown when the envelope is played back, whether the envelope is hidden or not. This is by design, so that, for example, in this mode you can lift (or lower) the volume on the entire track while maintaining the relative envelope levels. This has essentially the same effect as lifting or lowering the whole envelope.
In Read mode you cannot do this - but you can of course make adjustments to the envelopes themselves.

it also stops those pesky noisy hardware faders on devices like bcf2000
Trim mode is very cool and allows you to work without pesky trim modules.
also let's NOT forget the simple but very useful DUPLICATE actions
THANKS DEVS AGAIN! (as usual!)

Thanks for the explanation. This is a big improvement.

Love this action, and they fixed the refresh issues which were happening in the pre-release. Awesome work. I love the how you can insert one CC event easily, but hold the key you assigned to the action down and you can paint your cc events.

o enable visual feedback from hidden envelopes by default
o more consistent behavior of slider in trim/read mode
* MIDI editor: action to set or insert CC event at mouse (double-click)
Nice little details which can make so much difference, thanks again!!

I'm guessing there's been some change to graphics optimization in windows as well? Maxivista stopped working for me after the update, and that typically means there's some change in hardware acceleration.
I've been thinking of ditching maxivista anyway . . . 3 monitors takes up too much space, is a distraction really.
