Default Save / recall envelope?

Is there a way to save / recall an envelope? On my master track, I'd like to save a fade out envelope and recall it at my edit cursor. Thanks

You could 'wrap' it in a automation item, these can be saved/loaded.

How do you put an automation item on a master track though?

Am I missing something? You'd have to view the master track in TCP to see the envelopes for it. Once you have a visible envelope there, you insert automation items just like you would on any track.
