In my scripts, I don't use item GUID for trimming or splitting. Sort of I use native actions there

Big thanks for that.

I believe this is to add support to CPU's like the AMD threadripper 3990x which has 128 threads but 4 internal CPU groups connected by an infinity fabric.

My question is, would this also help CPU's like the AMD 3970x which has 2 CPU groups?

per take markers. phew! been asking for that, or something like it, literally for years. so glad to see them finally appear. will be anxious to see if all of the necessary and suggested refinements follow quickly enough to make me jump in and start using them.

Hi - I think you have to 'Add To Custom Colours' before hitting 'OK'...

Same thing happens on Windows 7-32bit

I have a photographic background, in the study of colors we have this situation. Primary colors and secondary colors for: Light color, transparent pigment color (filters) and opaque pigment color (paint).

In this case we are talking about 'Light Color':
In the Circle of Colors when we join the Primary colors (Blue, Green and Red), in the center of this union we get the 'White' and that we call 'Additive Synthesis'

In the intesection of Blue and Green we obtain the: Cyan that eliminates the Red from the light
In the intesection of Green and Red we obtain the: Yellow that eliminates the Blue from the light
In the intesection of Red and Blue we obtain the: Magenta that eliminates the Green from the light

Primary Colors: Blue (violet), Green and Red.
Secondary Colors: Yellow, Magenta and Cyan

Note: I noticed that when selecting any primary or secondary color, the result may be the opposite of what is expected for various colors.
But when choosing colors like White, Black or Gray the result should be as expected.

Only as a complement:
In the case of Pigment Color we have: Transparent (transparent filter) and Opaque (paint)
In the circle of colors when we join the Secondary colors (Yellow, Magenta and Cyan), in the center of this union we get the 'Black' and that we call 'Subtractive Synthesis'.

Take markers, ingenious!

One suggestion, though.
When 2 markers are very close to each other, then we're not able to read both:

Solution: when 2 markers are overlapping, put the second one beneath the first one.

And/or vertically for tracks from a certain height??

Agreed, or let us move them vertically as well.

The better solution: depending on the position in the take, place a marker name from top (very left or first) to the bottom (very right or last). So we will be able to understand whether there are other markers in the take or not.

By the way, if this behavior could be replicated in the general marker/region area, it would the most amazing present to sound designers or composers who work with hundreds of markers in their projects (sound designers/composers).

That behaviour is already in there for project markers and regions. Just drag the dividing line at the top of the tcp down a bit and enable "display project regions in lanes" and "display project markers in lanes" in the action list

technically yes but it uses a lot of vertical space in the arrange, surely there is a better way, like not expanding the region row past minimum if there aren't any that overlap.

If you're doing film, the space you circled is handy for putting a small video.
You can drag down as much or little space as you need for the markers and regions you have.

I don't believe either are true

there's only one video window which can't be embedded in main toolbar position.

and you can't resize just the marker lane without resizing the region lane.

In this pic the the minimum height to show the 4 markers in separate rows is 200px. 56px is unused in the region lane.

https://imgur.com/GAIJAfg

I think it would look better with the toolbar top aligned

You can turn off "display project regions in lanes" which gives one line of regions and multiple lines of project markers.
I agree it's not totally independent though.

Here's a script for putting a borderless video window in the available toolbar space:
https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=232597
I agree it's not as perfect as a reaper native embed

Hi everyone! Sorry to bump this thread but I was thinking about the region/marker lane ideas some people shared in this thread: wouldn't a "free item positioning" option in this lane be a clever solution?
