Wierd - everythings cool here

Try deleting your Reaper.ini file and let Reaper rebuild it.

Cheers

Try making your window taller, it disappears if it's too short...

you can still however use keyboard shortcuts, or the mousewheel, to zoom. coming soon: zoom integrated into the scrollbars...

Project5 V2 has this - it's pretty random compared to the mousewheel scroll. You drag left or right for horizontal scroll, then up or down for zoom at the same time.

Takes a while to get used to! (not that I ever really gave it a chance)

Cheers

We'll do it more like Vegas does, which is pretty nice and straightforward...

When the zoom sliders become part of the scrollbars, I feel that you should get rid of the right hand bar and make it a top bar. My reasoning behind this is that there is already un-used space above the time markers and anyway the text-boxes (project BPM, selection etc.) would fit better if there was more horizontal space. As a Sonar user I would also appreciate the possibility to move the play controls from the bottom of the screen to the top. I think there is enough room under the new, open, save etc. icons to fit the play controls.

All in all I think it would be great if the UI was more customizable. The possiblity to create color themes is nice but what I would really like is the possiblity to move the UI components around so user's from different backgrounds (Sonar, Cubase, ProTools...whatever) would feel more at home. Some simple XML format for describing the UI layout would be great and I'm sure the community would embrace this too.

That's a very handy feature in Audition 2.0, but that's a hell of a big program, and I wonder whether the fancy graphics have some bearing on its size?

I suscribe to this.
Also with TIme AND measure indications & overall CPU usage ?

The transport bar is fine to me where it is (I use keyboard shortcuts most of the time anyway...

What is .956 attempting to connect to the internet for?

EDIT (answer):

Ah, there is now an option in Preffs for new version checking.

I don't really want fancy graphics and full skinning support but just the ability to move the different components of the UI around. It's true that it would probably increase the size of the program but probably not that dramatically. Does anyone really care whether the size of REAPER is 1 or 2MBs?
