Default Reaper not responding to arturia

Hello, new to midi and reaper, I did everything in the online tutorials for setting up midi, but nothing happens when I press the keys on my aturia minilab. I tried to use the virtual keyboard thing by just clicking on the keys and it would make sound but still wouldn't record anything.helpp

thnks

I recently had the same trouble
I run Reaper x64 windows 7 pro
in my case when installing
I had to install both the x32 and x64 vst plugins let them install where they will.
I had to work this out myself with a little wind from the forum.

Might help you might not.

I'm sorry I'm entirely sure what you mean, can you elaborate?

Okay I will do my best.

What I found was this

As I have said I run Windows 7 so this may be applicable to you if you have windows 7 + Reaper too.

When installing Arturia and needing Reaper to use the VST plugin(s) you will need to install both the 32 and 64 bit VST3 versions
I think I have this right I am away from my audio computer.
Just allow the Arturia installer to place the versions where the installer wishes to.
I am talking of the VST3 versions here.
I did not try the VST2 versions.

Untick RTAS and AAX you will not need them unless you are in Protools or the like.

You have the same symptoms as I did.

Let us know if you succeed

Just uninstall the programs and re-install see what happens.

And dont forget to make sure reaper re-scans or (if necessary) clear and re-scan.
You will almost certainly have to add the new locations that Arturia adds for the two versions of the plug to reapers plugin path window in the Options\preferences\Plugins\VST drop down menu.
