Reaper 6 theme Toolbar button outlines are gone. Theme Tweak fix?
Hi Gang,
In Reaper 6, my toolbar buttons outlines are gone. They look like this -- not unlivable, but not clear either:
Is there a way in Theme Tweak to get the outlines to look like they used to in my Paulie theme in V5?
Thanks for any help.
Cheers,
Andrew K

Unfortunately the only way to get some definition to the R6 default toolbar buttons is to either switch to another theme or create new toolbar icons.
The R6 toolbar buttons are mostly transparent so what ever you change your theme colours to you will see that colour through the toolbar.
cheers

That's what I thought, so I quickly edited the toolbar_blank.png file so that it had a solid border, refreshed the theme and the toolbar icons didn't change.

If I change the toolbar_blank image to a total solid background the only toolbar icons it shows up in are the text only buttons. The main icons remain unaffected.
Clearly I don't know what I am doing so, Andrew, take no notice of my posts in this topic.

toolbar_blank.png goes under icons, so they need to be at least little transparent for it to show. Text is just text so it does not have border that why You can see it. Thonex icons are just what You see, rest is transparent that why they work.

Yes, and all the V6 default toolbar icons are mostly transparent.

I was annoyed by the transparent buttons in Reaper default theme 6 as well (as opposed to the ones in theme 5), so i just edited the "toolbar_blank.png" image file (of course i backed up the original theme files to be able to roll back to it just in case someday) and it worked like a charm.
However, i found out the buttons seemed a bit too bright (more thanb in my V5 theme) when armed, so i edited the "toolbar_blank.png" once again to have the "armed" color darker, and now it looks just like my good old Reaper 5.
Thanks a lot for this thread !
