Text to speech is really intriguing me.

Quite a few different voices. Male, female, child available in a good selection of nationalities.

Plogue makes a free "text-to-vocals" VST called Alter/Ego - two free voices, one is called "Bones", which is a male voice, sort of a tenor range, and one is called "Marie Ork" which is actually a black metal/death metal voice.
