Default Do additional mouse buttons 4+5 work in Reaper Mac?

The people reporting success with this seem to be on Windows. Anyone got this to work on Mac? Would be handy to assign undo and redo for example which would encourage more adventurous editing.

Mac itself barely supports them.

Still waiting to hear from someone who has had success with this on the Mac and can show me the exact steps. Thanks!

Buy for a fiver a program called Smooze, it lets you do a whole lot of cool stuff with any additional buttons on your mouse.

Yes this works great—thanks very much. The animated scrolling is also a superb feature for reading long blog posts etc. In Reaper I use the mouse wheel to operate the faders so I'm glad that you can switch the scrolling off for just Reaper whilst keeping the button functionality.

Default Merging multichannel files

I have been told that Reaper allows you to merge multichannel discrete files into a single multichannel file; not stereo!

I would like to be able to take this file and open it in Qlab and have mulichannel control but in a single file as apposed to stems or discrete channels.

I used to use Sound File Merger for this process but it does not work with Catalina.

I would appreciate if someone explain how this process works in Reaper.

Thanks

Welcome to the Reaper forum! You'll need to make a new thread in the "General Discussion" sub-forum as you posted in a Mac-specific sub-forum in a thread about mouse buttons! You're much more likely to get a good answer in that sub-forum and in your own thread!
