making slideshows: picture duration, xfades vs. hard changes?
About to do a photo slideshow in Reaper..
Are there common practices about image durations (I thought maybe 5 sec. for each? content is mostly nature/garden/plants), doing image crossfades (how long if so?, 0.5. sec. maybe?) vs. 'hard' changes? Any other tips/thoughts? |

If anyone should be interested (I don't think so given the number of replies, but anyway) I went with 5 sec. per image (that felt neither rushed nor boring for the given photos, for text only I went a bit longer) with no crossfades (felt a bit annoying after a while).
