Hello.
I know some of us already requested a tap tempo feature in Reaper.
I recently found 2 plugins which aims at playing this role, but both of them doesn't work in Reaper.
It is Soma's tap tempo, and the very recent Sonic Assault Tap!
You can find both of them here for free :
SOnic assault Tap ! : http://homepage.ntlworld.com/jez.price/Vst/Tap!12.zip
Soma taptempo :

the kvr thread :

and/or

Sonic Assault kindly made this plugin for Reaper's users (after reading this request on a kvr thread), and said that if the plugin didn't work, maybe that it was because the host didn't supported "
updateHostTempo".
So, i was wondering if we could have a point on this, in order to know if it is possible to run the plugin in Reaper : Does Reaper support this ? If not, is it planned/wished/easy to implement it ? Or maybe even that a tap tempo feature is on the todolist ?
I understand that it is not a #1 priority, considering the large amount of FR, but tap tempo can be very handy in live situations, when jamming, and you want to record "on the fly", or even if -like me- you want to start a project from a file which you don't know the native tempo...
(and thanks again to SOnic Assault for creating this on Reaper's users request !)
