Default Pleeease let me dock to a dock

I don't want to just dock stuff to the main page. In a multi-monitor setup, on th 2nd screen, I'd like to be able to hook a dock to the side of the dock holding the mixer-maybe the track manager.
Yes, I know I can drag and resize the track manager to look like it's docked, but I invariably move something around and end up having to take time to line things up again.
Why not just allow docks to dock to each other?

This is probably not high on too many other users list of Reaper enhancements, but I bet everyone would like it if it were implimented.

I thought about the same, as I'm also working with a multi-monitor setup

sidenote:
I think this thread should rather be in the FR section no ?

I'd love if REAPER could attach windows to each other like WinAMP could with the main window, EQ, video and playlist. Then, you could chunk various windows inside of REAPER and move these around with one another by moving only one of them.

Possible uses:
1.) Attach all opened FX windows to one another for a given track.
2.) Attach floating I/O panels as needed (example: all reverb sends for drums)

Implementation:

1.) Maybe call it Window Snapping? (Thanks ED)
2.) Remember window positions/snapping states (so if you snap 2 I/O panels together, close one of them, reopen one of them, they both open, snapped together.

I take it you rather mean you want to SNAP a dock to a dock, rather than dock a docker in another docker, Inception style?

Yes. Better wording than mine. Reaper made a huge leap forward with docking in V4. Now, with a little tweaking, docking in Reaper could reach it's full potential.

I agree with this. Snapping the dockers should be added too.

Again, I am going to say that Adobe Photoshop is the perfect example of this kind of interface.

+1 on that. Although Adobe Audition 3 is a lousy DAW, it has one of the coolest user interfaces going, where dock-ability is concerned.

+1 If it was like Winamp, that would be good.

Agree with the above.

Maybe a mix between how it's currently handled, and Samplitude Pro X.
