Default Behringer Guitar Link - UCG102 Sound output

Hi there folks - noob guitarist, noob DAW user and noob Behringer user, so it seems the newbieland forum would be the best place for this.

I have the Guitar Link, which works pretty well with this product, but I'm wondering if there's a way to use it that you're aware of where I can output the sound through the speakers on my PC, and not through headphones?

I've got pretty severe Tinnitus and the headphones are kind of a drag to use. It ups the ringing by a pretty good margin.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It uses ASIO4all driver I think so you may be able to select speakers as output.

See if there are other outs available to select in Preferences/Audio Device Settings/Output Range.

if not open up ASIO4all control panel (should be in your system tray when it's being used) and see if the internal audio device is listed but not checked as active.

Actually, as it turns out I plugged the PC speakers into the Behringer unit (with an adapter that came with my headphones) and it works like a charm.

Kudo's to my brother for knowing that...

Well that's a drag...

I have Reaper going through the Behringer now, all good. However when I go to youtube.com or Guitarzoom.com or even trying to play a DVD, no sound.

I do have speakers on my monitor as well as the normal speakers. So is there a way to tell the DVD or internet to use the speakers on the monitor? I've played with the exclusivity setting in sound manager with no luck.

I've tested the speakers that are attached to the monitor, and they do work while I'm noodling with the guitar, so I know both options are working. Its just when I play the DVD or go to the internet that it doesn't work.

Right-click on the Windows Speaker/volume icon. Select Playback devices. Then right-click to select whatever you want as your default playback device.
