I know I am able to monitor with direct monitor through reaper. But with my limited interface uca222. Is it possible to setup a headphone monitoring mix and also a backing track? Currently I have the backing track going out the output but was not sure if I could utilize one side of the stereo for backing track and the other for headphone monitoring?
No need to split left and right - You can just switch monitor on for the audio track and have the vocal coming back out with the backing track but there will be a delay between singing and hearing yourself equivalent to the latency of the interface.
Given the interface you're using I don't know if you could get the latency low enough to make this work. You'll have to try it.
Getting the direct monitor of your mixer working as per other thread is still your best option imo.
