Default Removing all markers problem

I can't seem to get this to work.

I rightclick above the markers ,select "remove all markers from time selection" but they don't get removed.

Is this a bug or am I missing something?

This seems to work for me. Have you made a time selection first by left click dragging in the Reaper playing area?

Yes.

I imported a Bach midi and it had tons of markers.

I'll try with less markers.

Aha.

I know what I'm doing wrong.

I had time signature markers on the timeline instead of normal markers.

Can you delete all time sig markers like you can with normal markers?

When all else fails, you can do a lot by simply editing the .rpp file with a text editor (or a copy of it, to be safe).

This is by far the fastest method currently.

Open the .rpp in notepad, scroll down to where it says:

<TEMPOENVEX (it's just before <MASTERVOLENV )

and delete all the lines that start like this:

PT blah blah blah

Save, then open in reaper...all the tempo markers should be gone.

Remember, test on a COPY FIRST.

This still works a treat. Thank you so much from twelve years into the future.

Cheers,

Default Somewhat easier

I've found if you view the master track you can easily delete all tempo markers with an <alt> click and just run down the lane.

Yeah, this is the fastest - delete all points on the tempo envelope in the Master track.

Or maybe tell Reaper not to apply midi tempo changes when importing Midi files.
