Too much additional movements for just splitting/zooming item. And even running additional script in background for this? Really?

This is not a simple item splitting / scaling.
As requested (YuriOl-RMM). The trick is to repeat the "cubase" feature with a large zoom, reduce the item without changing the zoom.***
This a script "Archie_Item; Grab item on edge arrange and trim by edge window(AutoRun).lua"
The second one with scrolling turned out by itself, although it is also convenient in some cases and versatile, and even more convenient than the first one.
Not any additional script in the background is not here and was not.))

Draw attention to the fact that I don’t click on any shortcuts.

Looking at these scripts status change when running them inside the Action list i've noticed that when Trim by edge script status is switched to OFF the Scroll to edge script status is automatically switched to OFF as well if it was ON before that. It doesn't happen in the opposite direction.

I think this is what you refer here

Is this on purpose? It seems limiting, because one can still use the Scroll to edge with another item on another track.

If I understand you correctly, these two scripts do not work in a pair, i.e. if the scroll is enabled and you try to enable trim, the scroll will automatically turn off and Vice versa.

If you mean something else, please make a GIF

Edit:
Understood, you probably looked at the status here , it was not displayed correctly there. Fixed it, now the action list is also refreshing.

Sorry, couldn't respond earlier. Yes, they're in sync now, thank you.

Got initially confused about how they were supposed to work in pair.

The new script Archie_Item; Grab item on edge arrange and scroll to edge item one side(AutoRun).lua zooms out rather than scrolls and the item edge isn't being fully reached. Is this intended behavior?

It works like the previous scroll, only without touching the opposite side.

OK, thanks for the demo, so it isn't technically a scroll but a zoom-out to the opposite side. Still useful of course.
