Thanks Ollie! The others did make me laugh but only you offered a solution!

Guess there's a eastern proverb in that too somewhere!

All were wise solutions, only you did not favor ours. Obviously you are far too attached to finishing your project. Let it go. Just be happy to imagine the song, and change it at will within your consciousness.

OmmmmmmmMG.

Does a song exist before it was saved? Or was it the only time it really existed? Do the crash logs contain messages from deceased rockstars? Who asks such stupid questions? Do I really have to do something about my bad breath?

Once again, REAPER shows an unexpected depth, even in simple functions like "save" and "crash".

Wait. Reaper 4 will finally have a "crash" feature? Awesome. I requested that time ago, but no one seemed to want to listen. Every real pro DAW has that, so it's about time, really. Needs to be an option, of course.

It needs to have flexible options too...

crash mode: [ON|OFF|Likelihood=xx%]

example options:
crash AT: [hh:mm:ss | random]
crash IN: [hh:mm:ss]
crash WHEN: [condition="..."]
crash IF: [track 9 > +5 | Monitors too loud | too much limiting] (etc)
ON crash DO: [nothing | exit | reboot | continue | run <prog | script | self>]

Unique id's for each action so they can be set in !markers and shortcuts.

API hooks for future SWS extensions.

Endless possibilities!

this sounds awesome bblue, I was thinking providing it is not a copyright infringement with 12 tone systems you could add BSD option, making Reaper competitive with the big boys.

BSD: [ON|OFF|Likelihood=xx%]

+1 crash feature
with option to send crash report online (directly to developer's Recycling Bin)

seriously, though...

+ Configuration import/export support (ReaperConfigZip) (needs testing and polish!)
excellent choice.

This is awesome! But where/how do we do this?

Thanks,
Mike

its in prefs/general mike -

i am imagining the config swap 'meets' we're going to have.
its going to awesome:

protools for dummies reaper
no menus at all and a big red record button reaper
my fave DAW clone reaper
AW's superfast all-in-one drum recording/editing/quantize (now in realtime!) reaper
live engineer reaper
live performer reaper
movie/audio post reaper
and much more...

uber cool.

Default Bug: Undo History only goes back 3 steps

Bug: Undo History only goes back 3 steps

Version: 3.73pre3 (also confirmed in v3.72 official release)

That's pretty much it.

Can't confirm. Works as it always did here.
