Default QUESTION: Can I use REAPER with my Steinberg UR22 mkII audio interface????

Hello,

I just got a new "Steinberg UR22 mkII USB Audio Interface".

I don't know if I will be able to use this REAPER DAW with my Steinberg UR22 mkII USB Audio Interface...??

If I download REAPER, will I be able to use it as my DAW with this audio interface??

I do realize that I also have the option of downloading and using the "Cubase AI" as my DAW. But I've heard a lot of good things about REAPER, and so I think I want to use REAPER instead of the Cubase AI. As long as it will work fine with my Steinberg UR22 mkII audio interface...

ANY HELP OR ADVICE OR SUGGESTIONS would be VERY GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!

Thanks so much!!

I cannot think of any reason why it would not work.

Download / install Reaper and try it (that will be easier than downloading / installing Cubase AI.

Thanks for the advice.
And sorry for posting my question under 3 different categories. I am brand new to this and this was only my 2nd time every posting anything on this forum. And I did not know if maybe the help or answers or replies that I end up needing would come which category. I figured maybe someone would not see my question in one of the forum groups or whatever, and so I thought that if I posted in 3 different places that I would have a better chance of someone seeing my question and being able to answer it for me.
Anyways, thanks again for the advice. I do appreciate it.

No problem - it would have meant that the replies would be distributed across all the threads and may lead you in different directions.

Anyway, let us know how it goes.

Try this Google Search for UR22 threads here: https://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=e...rum.cockos.com

Default Reaper and Ur22 Mk2

I have just bought UR22 MK2 device.

I have conected it and install it. In Reaper under preferences-> Devices i have set Asio and under Asio drivers i have choose Yamaha Steinberg USB Audio.

Under Enable input it is set first and last UR22mkII input1 and input 2. Under Output rage on first and last is set UR22 mkII Output 1/L and 2/R.

I dont have options to chose my speaker. They are conected to the computer. I have check Record Arm to ON and set Monitor to ON.

When i have play guitar i can see that it is recording but there is no sound from speakers. When i have render the song in mp3 that i have play. And play it in win player i can hear the record. But not while playing.

Here is the picture: https://www.dropbox.com/s/1srm3z4dll9g5nx/01.jpg?dl=0

Can you pleas help me with this?

Best regards!

Hi Kensai.
Do you have powered speakers?
If so, you have to plug the speakers to the line outputs on the back of the UR22.
Have you tried plugging in a pair of headphones on the UR22?
In other words, your UR22 is the soundcard now, and not the built in sound card in the computer.

There is a hookup diagram in the manual for your UR22 on page 11.

Hope this helps.
