Default Allow loading new instances of VST/FX in offline state (templates)

Allow loading new instances of VST/FX in offline state for templates.

I'm unable to find this as an option.

This would be incredibly useful when making templates for larger composition environments as one would not have to wait for the fx to load and then set offline in order to create a template.

Ideally being able to load all your instruments/fx to tracks offline then bring them online as needed from template during a session.

It would also be good if Reaper had the option to offline all fx before shutdown.
Really fast launch time on next load, then bring everything online or just specific tracks of a session.
You may have a stereo mixdown on a track in the session and need to overdub something. This would mean not having to wait for all the plugins to load ............ ........... ............ now what was i doing again ?

That is not necessary because Reaper has an option to load the project with all FX offline already. You need to go through the "Open project" dialog, though.

@ ED, I think you missed the point, OP wants to create track templates,fx chains, etc, without actually loading the plugins, that would avoid long wait times for huge plugins and avoid wasting/overwriting memory/cache.

Just an idea, but if you already have fx chains of your favorites FX you could copy those to new files, open those in a text editor, find and change the BYPASS line,..
'BYPASS 1 0' = bypassed.
'BYPASS 0 1' = offline.

That's interesting to know however it still means trawling through fx chains and messing about with duplicate files etc but i can see how that would be very useful in certain circumstances.

A typical situation might be this

An option to right click on a plugin's name(s) in fx browser and choose
Add FX to Track 1 "Roland Synths" (offline) <--- FR right here

In this example it takes a fair while for these plugins to load, then on certain occasions you would have to shut all the floating windows down select all the fx and then set offline also there's the memory issue as pointed out by Edgemeal.
