Default Multi core plugins

Is it safe to say that Reaper can handle plugins that use multiple cores - like Kontakt and Superior Drummer?

I was just troubleshooting a Kontakt library yesterday and realised that I have Kontakt set up to use 4 cores (Superior Drummer is also set up for 4 cores).
It's always worked OK (except this one library by Sound iron) so I'm assuming Reaper is happy with it - or is it better to just set plugins for 1 core and let Reaper schedule the multi core usage?

Any thoughts?

as far as I know, it is better to leave the plugins to use all the cores. You can do a test in a heavy project.

I have 16 cores now (new Ryzen 3950x upgrade) so I was thinking to just give 4 cores to plugins like this. As long as no one says "Let Reaper handle the multi tasking"
