Awesome, PER ITEM ENVELOPES!!

There was so much good stuff in 2.3xx I knew there would be a version bump.

Yes, I really like this feature. The only criticism I would make is that the graphic that flashes around the item when it's found passes too quickly for mine - especially on a busy page it's flashed and gone before I've figured out what's going on.

Would it be possible I wonder to leave the item or perhaps the key words highlighted until you go on to the next one, a bit like when you search a page in Firefox? Thanks!

you get per item fx if you right click on the item and choose "apply fx on item as new take".. or something like that

then hit "shift + e" or zoom in and check the little button "fx" on the item ...

GREAT update is comin!! wow!
love the idea for per item automation!

(btw: can we please get different colored bars for different velocity-values in the midi-editor?)

Wow per item automation and envelopes, I'd like to see that...

btw why velocity colours when we already have multiple lanes so you can always see your velocities - not to mention the velocity bar graph on each note - when you still can't select conditionally or navigate by note in the piano roll?

I always thought the lane was better than the logic coloured approach. It's just a matter of taste, but navigation at the moment is too much mousing!!!

A slight bug...

After working on per-item automation the right-click drag doesn't work to select/deselect items...if you click on the item to select it, right-click drag returns.

Right-click, 'show fx chain for active take'.

You can set the fx button on takes to show always in prefs...then you just click on that to open the fx chain for the take.

Yes!

I love the take automation stuff. Though I don't understand why we got take automation before we got item automation?
If I have a vocal performance or a guitar solo with several takes and cut my performances to get a new performance I can't have a general volume envelope for all right now as I see it right now. Do I miss something?

hmm, the option: draw labels when items are in compact view seems to not have any effect anymore, labels are allways drawn when selected "display media items name" (might be this way for some longer)

It's the same thing (here at least) - I've got automated items but I never have takes.

Art - It's the same if you have only one take, but not if you have multiple takes - i.e. if you have two takes you have to add a separate envelope to each take. Not complaining about this, just explaining.

Or copy from one to the other. I guess if you have "play all takes" active you can use the new envelopes to select which bits of which takes will play?? Dunno, like I say I don't normally use that stuff.

Also, when I have 2 or more MIDI editor instances open and in the process of doing some work, REAPER just crashes as soon as I hit the play button.
