Default New Order - Age of Consent Tribute/Cover

Here's a re-imagining of Age of Consent I made a couple years ago.
Maybe a little too lofi, but I think it conveys the right feeling.

Nice work, ErBird! This track could've been straight out of the UK charts in the mid 1980's. In fact, I was half expecting Andy McCluskey's voice to come in! Good stuff, keep it up!

Hey. Thanks, really. I thought it sounded iffy when I made it, but always wanted to add the "I saw you this morning..." verse at 1:05. No other vocals. It was one of those things that came together in like an hour and stayed as is to this day.

Thanks for you appreciation.

I greatly admire people who can put a track together in a short time. It took me months to do my last track (which is somewhere further down this thread) and although I can start a track quite quickly, I find finishing them properly quite difficult at time.

Same. I've finished about 3 songs ever. Out of hundreds. And each time it's been a holy experience. I've heard Tom Petty talk about being a conduit to something beyond his conscious mind, writing songs so fast he doubts they're anything good, but nope they're classics. I've heard The Black Keys say they like to write as fast as possible to not burn out the initial inspiration. Like 3 or 4 songs a day sometimes, written and recorded. It's amazing.

I think the real skill is turning off your anxieties and trusting that your subconscious, properly seeded with inspiration and a variety of music, will deliver. That's hard these days with infinite tracks and FX slots. I always feel like I'm missing something.
