Default Set new timecode at marker

Hey Community,

is there a chance, that I can put up a marker at let's say 10:00:01:00 and make the ruler count from 10:17:00:00 from there on?

Similar to changing the signature or tempo, I would like to change the position or cut some time out of the ruler.

Are there ways?

Thank you!

not sure why you would wanna do this but you can insert an SMPTE/LTC timecode item on a new track and set its properties (start time, frame rate) to the desired values. Then, add another SMPTE/LTC timecode item right behind the first one and set it to a different start value. You can use "JS: SMPTE LTC Reader" to display the the timecode (incl. the jump at their transition). You cannot make the main timeline display jump.
