Default Runtime C++ error when running 64bit Kontakt 6

This error only happens when running the 64 bit version of Kontakt. 32 bit version work fine. Any ideas? I can run Kontakt as standalone, just not in DAW. I already tried uninstalling the last few C++ updates.

Thanks!!

I saw this same thing for something else not long ago and did some googling about it and found there was a missing dll file that causes it...

sorry but I don't have the name of the damn thing anymore

it's a crap warning cuz it says the c++ runtime is not right or not installed but really it is except that there is a missing dll... which can be gotten

sorry to not be of more help

Unfortunately the error message is a completely generic Microsoft error message that doesn't have any useful information to help in debugging. If you are very lucky, some additional information might have been logged in the system events, but it's not likely. Does Kontakt itself have some kind of an error log file?

It can be due to other reasons like the code ending up not being able to do anything else than to call the abort() runtime function. Plugins should really never allow that to happen because it takes down the entire host application, but still some do that...
