Modify thread title - What's the trick?

how do you guys get your thread titles modified? (e.g. adding (FIXED), (SOLVED) etc.)

Yes I've tried this. I think it might be something only a moderator can do.

Yeah, changing the title of the starting post does ... well ... change the title of the starting post, but not the thread title.
Seems that you're right and it's a mod thing.

Makes sense doesn't it though, or peeps won't know it's the same thread.
I believe only a mod can delete the first post too, or the thread won't make sense
