Default How to use Zoom H6 as interface?

I'm trying to use a H6 with Reaper. I'm using Reaper for the first time. I can use the stereo mic just fine, but the other 4 channels aren't coming through.

Here are some settings:

Which has these options: https://i.imgur.com/YqjLUys.png

I've also tried https://i.imgur.com/KiYtywL.png

But that give even fewer options: https://i.imgur.com/IJtyTbH.png

And the input range options are blank: https://i.imgur.com/Dsz0MyX.png

On the H6, I'm getting levels on channel 3, but they aren't showing in Reaper.

It's also confusing because the H6 inputs are L, R, 1, 2, 3, 4 - not 1-6. So, I don't know how that's supposed to work.

I have installed both ASIO drivers from the Zoom website.

Edit: wow, suddenly, the correct inputs appeared... https://i.imgur.com/nWe0VxX.png glad I took a screenshot before to prove I'm not crazy.

I actually wasn't able to run it as an interface with the normal drivers. There was a horrible noise at all times unless I used ASIO4All.

Note about the two different drivers; one is just for the stereo mic and the other is for full 6 channel operation.

I'm still struggling to get my Zoom H6 working as an audio interface in Reaper. I just tried ASIO4All and the audio was terribly distorted and glitchy. Sounds like the opposite of your experience.

But other drivers aren't working well either. I'm pretty disappointed.

I got it to work great on Linux, but audio on Linux is another can of worms. There are also recent firmware updates you can try.

AFAIK the H6 comes with an ASIO driver (-> https://www.zoom-na.com/products/fie...rder/downloads ) and hence it's totally inappropriate to use ASIO4ALL.

I ended up updating the H6 firmware and reinstalling the Zoom driver. Seems to be working now. Not sure what the problem was.

They didn't work properly in the past.

If that is true the H6 would be close to unusable with Reaper/Windows.

There is two drivers from Zoom, and here you will need the Multichannel ASIO driver "H_and_F-Series_Multi_Track_ASIO".
But it can works also perfectly with ASIO4All, for example to do an aggregation with the F8.
I wonder what was the problem you have encoutered...

It wouldn't surprise me if Razer is part of the problem. I have had many issues with this Razer Blade 2018. The hardware is good, but the software and drivers have been frustrating.
