Default Multiple tracks using Reaper with Zoom R16

Hello, I'm having trouble recording multiple tracks simultaneously(or at all) when using Reaper as a controlling DAW for my ZoomR16. I have set up the ASIO connections (inputs 1-8, outputs 1-2), and can control some actions such as volume through the zoom unit. But the only track that records into the daw is track 1. I move my mic xlr cable to track 2 and...nothing. Same with the next 7 tracks. I am pretty dense when it comes to this sort of thing, so any light anyone can shed on this would be greatly appreciated.

That sounds like the problem to me. I've used my R16 many times to record 8 simultaneous tracks. As long as each track is set to a different input, it should work fine.

You're referring to in Device Settings? I have input (first=1)-(last=8) and output 1-2. I think I have the right input for each track...1-8 in Reaper should be 1-8 on R16 right?(Sorry this is response is so late, gave up on this for awhile).

you arm your inputs in each tracks track control panel. The manual is very easy to navigate , if you havent give it a look.

In Reaper go to each track. Click on input. On the dropdown menu select which Zoom track you want to "assign" to which Reaper track.

IE if you have Vocal Mics in Zoom's Tracks 5 & 6 and want them in Reaper on 1 & 2 select "Input: Mono 5" in Track 1 and "input: Mono 6" in Track 2.

As in, for a Delta 66, with the TCP made wider:

[Oops, wrong input selected on track 2 ]
