Default Using Novation 61 Launchkey in Reaper

Hi guys. I'm thinking about buying a Launchkey for Reaper. Does anyone use it with Reaper and it works good? I can't figure out if the rotary knobs are endless and or if they have a detent centering spot for 12 o clock halfway up. Or is it a free for all spinny knob with no detents?

Can anyone confirm that the Launchkey works decently in Reaper for a master controller DAW?

It works with reaper, the knobs are not endless, there is a decent at 12 o'clock.
The lights for the square buttons do not work with reaper

Hey there, thank you for the input. Wait, the lights don't work? How come? Is there no aftertouch? Do you suggest the 61SL MkIII instead?

No after touch, the keyboard you are in question of actually is designed for live.
I use the 49 key version, all controls and sliders work in reaper.

that would surprise me, since all launchpads, launchpad minis, launchpad x, launchpad xtreme 2020, etc have LEDs that work with reaper.

but then again, arturia's minilab mk2 stupidly doesn't support midi-controlled LEDs, so who knows

Yes I agree the lights turn on but if you want them to show the status of a specific function in reaper you will need to write additional software for the buttons to show the status accurately otherwise the button lights in reaper are random.
I have three different products in the novation launch line of products they work fine for me, but they do not work the same as there advertisements show when used with live.
