Default Missing actions to set start/end of time selection in MIDI editor (SOLVED)

Hi,

Currently, there are no actions to set the start and end of time selection from within the MIDI editor. This is a biggy for users who depend on keyboard shortcuts, because it means we aren't able to set a time selection without closing the MIDI editor, setting it in the track view, then reopening the MIDI editor. The presence of actions to select notes/CC values within time selection, cut/copy/paste based on time selection, move cursor to start/end of time selection and remove the time selection itself lead me to post in the bugs forum as opposed to feature requests.

I have a workaround for now by keeping time selection and loop points linked (because there *are* actions to set start/end loop points), but I'd ideally like to be able to unlink those so that more of my audio related workflows can be carried over when working with MIDI.

Thanks in advance if there's anything you can do to improve the UX here.

Hi, Scottsdale.
You can add the shortcuts assigned to the Main section actions
"Time selection: Set start point"
and
"Time selection: Set end point"
to the MIDI Editor section action
"Misc: Pass through key to main window".
That should do the trick.
