Default Reaper 5.90 fails with some VSTis (SOLVED)

There is a problem with VI's in 5.90.

I installed Reaper 5.90 and launched it. As the project opened I was warned that one of my VI's was not available. It works fine in 5.80. I tried several other VI's that also failed to work. I re-scanned my VST plugin folders, and there were a number of VSTi's no longer available.

I re-installed 5.80 and after re-scanning my plugin folder all of the VI's are again available again. Obviously something is different / broken if v5.90.

Did you install the same architecture of 5.90 (32-bit vs 64-bit)?

There were several, but the 32-bit version of B4 was the first one I tried that failed.

To answer your second question, no I didn't change versions. Both are 64-bit versions.

NO!!!!!!! Is that B4 or B4 II? Hate to say it, but I am going to stay on 5.80 unless B4 II still works. My ONE VSTi that I cant live without.

Hmmm. It appears to have been an intall issue. I re-installed v5.9 and now things are working. Perhaps a file was in use and couldn't be overwritten, or something odd.

Anyway, AFAIK it's working now.

It's B4 II, but after re-installing 5.9 it's working now. Strange. But I'm happy it's functional.

Sorry - I have to confess I was being a little flippant.
I use B4II pretty much on every project of my own that I do and it is still working fine for me on 5.9 & Win10Pro 64bit, but I always get a little nervous when someone reports issues with it.
