Random Delay without stuttering

Hey,

I'd like to set up a delay with a random length without getting messed-up transients like in 0:02 of my attachment. Is this possible? And why does this happen?

I've used ReaDelay with Reaper's Random-LFO, but I've also tried Waves' SuperTap with the same Results.
