Default EQ and Reafir

Try this on the 2 buss

Use any Wideband EQ - the more musical the better (I recommend something from URS like BLT if you have it, or the 4x4 from sstillwell). Anyway, if it has a Q, set it to something fairly wide and boost the high end 5 or 6dB )from aound 7k all the way up).

Set Reafir into compressor mode with a ratio of something like 2:1 or 3:1 and set the threshold down to somehting like -30dB (depending on the original levels, you'll have to play with that of course)

what you'll find is that you can boost the high end a whole heck of a lot on the 2 buss before it sounds "too" harsh - the more you boost, the more saturated it sounds. Also works great for hi-hats, vocals, guitars, and overheads

yay!

Sounds like a great tip - but not something personally I need to do - but I bet someone does or will!
