Default Mixing Multiple Tracks Down to one?

I know i'm just missing something but how do you combine 3 or 4 tracks down to one and then to a wav file so it can be burned to a cd?

thanks for the help

- mute tracks you don't want to combine
- FILE:RENDER
- select:
- output file name
- output formant (.wav)
- bit depth (16 I guess)
- other params
- hit RENDER

this is simpliest. There is FILE:CONSOLIDATE/EXPORT command but I never used it. Some people here use it extensively.

I personally just turn off the FX on my master buss (if there are any) and use render to combine several tracks into 1. Keep it at the same sampling rate as the project as well as the same bit-depth.

then ....
To prepare a WAV for CD it NEEDS to have a sampling rate of 44.1Khz (44100hz) and a bit depth of 16. No compromises.

Use File --> Render to render your entire project to a single stereo Wave file, then burn with your favourite program at at least half the max speed of the burner to ensure a decently solid burn.

If you've done your work in 48khz or higher, then I would use the slowest method of anti aliasing to ensure that the downsampling is as accurate as possible.

Peace
R
