<Record Measure> markers?
just started using reaper about a week ago after running into some really annoying things in Acid Pro... like a lot so far, but I noticed that on all the wav files I've dropped into my project that were recorded in Acid, in the waveform display it shows a continuous line of <Record Measure #> labels, and these of course don't line up with my project measures, and they are very cluttery, and how do I get rid of them?
These labels do NOT show up on other samples, or wav files that I did not work on in Acid Pro

Try the action: Toggle show media cues in items.
If these markers are media cues (and not loop markers) then search the actions list for 'cue'. Reaper has some useful actions for these. I personally made some cool macros to make some use of these media cues.

Hello redzim and welcome to these forums. You'll find many helpful people here and a lot of useful information.
You can use an Audio Editor such as wavosaur to remove them completely. Or, perhaps, Acid Pro can save the files without those markers?

Most macros are only useful in a secific context and it wouldn't make any sense to post them here.
But here is one which acts similar to the action 'explode rex items into beat slices' but only with items which have cue markers.
item: split at media cues
item grouping: group items
item properties: set item timebase to beats (position only)
or this one is also interesting:
item: move and stretch items to fit time selection
item: split at media cues
item properties: set item rate to 1.0
item grouping: group items
sws/aw: fill gaps between selected items (advanced, use last settings)
With this macro you can fit an item into a time selection. But don't draw that time selection too big or too small, otherwise you get some errors.
It's for length/speed corrections which should not be too big.
This one is similar and is for (unsplitted) rex items:
item: move and stretch items to fit time selection
item: explode rex item into beat slices
item properties: set item rate to 1.0
sws/aw: fill gaps between selected items (advanced, use last settings)

Just want to add: If i have some loops which i use quite often i also use wavosaur to place some markers (to make a pseudo rex file). Wavosaur is great for that. It's worth the effort. I can "warp" my items in reaper with the above macro or i can use these markers to easily create a sfz file for sample accurate beat slicing.

OK these turned out to be artifacts in the wav itself; I could not turn them off in Reaper but I reopened all the files in Soundforge and they were littered with beat markings. I deleted all of those markers, re-saved the files, and re-opened my Reaper project. it rescanned the wavs and displayed them cleanly.
thanks !

Good oh!
They are metadata, rather than artefacts
