If it were possible to ONLY see the user folders (i.e. the ones in this screenshot) then that would at least be something...
But, correct me if I am wrong; I think you have no choice but to have all the standard folders above it, with no way to rearrange the order (i.e. have user folders above the others).
But obviously, being able to nest folders as well as move them in any order would be a lot less 1997!

Yea you can't change the order, but the only only you can't hide is "All Plugins" and "New" under that if there are new plugins:
fx browser options/show in left pane list

Ahhh - I didn't realize I could hide all of those...that's useful to know...
Obviously it would be more useful to be able to re-order them - but hiding some in the meantime might work

Default Plugin useage field
Another feature that would be amazing, would be a column that could show you which projects a plugin is used in!
That would be really good for things like tidying up old 32bit plugins.

Time to bump this again!

Justin, Schwa... please . I don't ask for much. I am extremely OCD and I want so badly to be able to create folders in my favourites so I can organize my plugins how I want them when I pull up my right click insert menu.

Please please please please! Most people would only give you three pleases. I am offering four!
