Default Reaper Themes You Want to See Completed

A while back I ran across a REDD 51 console theme which looks awesome. I don't know the status of it but it would look sweet on my two monitors.

I wish I was talented like these people who make these awesome themes. So which themes do you all want to see finished or themes you all would like to see conceptualized?

I think there is a consistent consensus on the list of things we wish were finished. I know many of us would have even finished them ourselves if even a WIP was posted in the stash.

Yes, I would say REDD (done with my suggestions in it's thread, mind you) and the Solaris SSL are at the top of my wish-list. If the REDD was in the cloud I would have gotten it and modified it to my preference.

My own theme..
It's only in a graphical mockup stage but enough to get the idea how it would/should look like when finished.
And the good thing about doing your own theme is it will most likely suit your own needs. *duh*
Bad thing is, lots of new ideas pop up all the time and you can "improve" until the next millennium i think, so id like to stop that now and just get it over with, atleast graphics wise.
Expect a new theme thread soon.

Yes, it can be endless. I never stop modifying WT Imperial to my tastes and workflow. I should stop at some point....

Themes are like plug ins. If you can't make music with what you got, another new plug in/theme isn't going to change things much.

Actually pretty much all studies on this say the complete and total opposite, most people in fact become inspired by new purchases/acquirements in the modern world and tools are no longer just tools.
Also the aesthetics of the tools we use (Plugin UI, Themes) are now more important than ever before, not only in terms of usability but also in terms of relaxation and also familiarity.
So statements like yours above are very very far from the truth.

I think that most people who start theming face the same realisation: that it takes too much time and is beside the point. What's a pretty interface when it took all your time from making music? What's a cathedral whith no time to pray?
Unless theming is your business.

Simple. Theming is fun. Tough, complex and extremely time consuming, but fun. And not related to make music at all, of course. We do it just for the joy of doing it and making Reaper (or whatever) more appealing and comfortable when we happen to decide to go make or print music on it.

Got to agree with you there Snap. Theming is something I do because it is another form of artistic expression I happen to enjoy. The fact that I'm being creative with the core interface in my studio just happens to make it all that more enjoyable, knowing that the end product is something that also makes my music production more efficient.

Rather than write a variety of different themes, I've decided to primarily focus on the one I use daily and continue to tweak it over time to suit my workflow. I share my work with the REAPER community in the spirit of giving back something from a group of people I've gained much from. The way I figure it is that not everyone will like my theme, nor will everyone like my music. But if I enjoy creating both, chances are someone else will too.

I've actually just started doing some more fine tuning to my theme and will be releasing the updates very soon. I've made a topic with the details for those who are interested here.....

Its a bit frustrating at first, but so rewarding and cool to be able to build stuff that works as you want, it's fun also.
And Reaper is the reason why i started to learn Gimp a bit more "seriously", effectivly giving me another hobby that i seem to enjoy.
White tie and rosch (spelling?) is the two people responsible for teasing me into trying out Walter, looks like you might blame White tie also? that shit, how dare he make beautiful stuff!..
Rosch did the Ableton thingie way back which was Very specific to how he wanted it, i needed abit more so i had no choice so i booked a date with Walter, scared shitless i might add.
Also i think i remember he got way to little credit for his work so, thumbs up Rosch! 2013-11-05.
Can't wait to see what Reaper5 has in store for us to say the least, and i'm very thankfull for what we Already have to play with.
This was the short version.

Default ITS BEEN "in the works" for quite a while

SOLARIS SSL is by far the Theme I've been looking forward too since
Rea-Evolution Beta 2. I've seen so many mouth watering "captura's" only to be saddened by changes that took away from it's(the theme)brilliance.

NOW it would seem that the theme has been shelved all together to make time for all these "fake-out" themes.

Albert your work is simply brilliant,But your ORIGINAL Themes are pure GENIUS!

If I had a dollar every time someone used that tire old cliche I'd be a...
get the idea.
Some people like myself simply like to collect Plugins,Themes,Fonts,Sounds, etc.
So we may never get around to using the thousand+ Themes,VST,VSTi,Fonts,Samples ,who cares, why do you?
It's a collection just like your Mad magazines you most likely have in your attic or basement.

Even if i had the "perfect" theme already, what ever.. i am always going to enjoy trying out new themes that people come up with, don't care how crazy it is, good looking or drop dead ugly.
Like going on vacation, something new, different.
Some vacations last an hour, some longer.
I have the luxury of time though, some might not have that.

^^^We should have a theme marketplace here in Reaperville. Don't know what theme's should cost, but a few bucks x tons of customers = serious cash for themers. Lord knows I'd pay for Solaris SSL.

Then so should all the valuable beta testers, all themers, all JS coders, every one that contrubute happyly with their help and time.
I'm sorry, but i don't agree in that vision although i "get it".
Nothing personal.

The idea that someone should get compensated for their work is fine with me.

Fine, feel free to contact every creator of every theme you have used, including everything else realated to Reaper that has a creator chosen giving it to you for free.
I bet most of them would turn your money down.
Many people i bet is left out either by not beeing able to pay, don't want to pay, so they wont get it at all, the "theme" that is.
Donations are fine, but only if the theme is free first and the donation is a choice.
I'm speaking within Reaperterms and thoughts only, not universal idea of how the world works or should work.

Tonelux would look great in my studio.

I used to theme before walter and it was both rewarding and time-consuming. Personally it was lower priority than recording and had to go. I have too many other things to educate myself about.

All I can do is encourage themers and let them know they are appreciated and a vital part of this community.
