There's a series on youtube called "against the clock" where artists get ten minutes to produce something from scratch. Pretty entertaining and enlightening. I tried my hand at it.
I think I'm making a progress, when I tried some time ago it took an hour. And was much worse. If you want to skip all the mouse clicking and sighs the result is at the end(thinking about expading it into a full tune).

That's very musical and creative for being created on the fly. You are really fluid on guitar. Some players are stiff and everything they play sounds forced, but you always sound natural and flowing.

So you can't use templates or presets or what? The sighs and mouseclicking are where it's at. Maybe I'll try this using only those two things as soundsource. I doubt I could make more than a 4-bar loop in that time.
I'm afraid to watch noobs crush my hard-earned Reaper workflow.

Thanks! And all that while still having no idea what I'm doing.

I think rules are rather loose, people are doing whatever they're normally doing, so there's people using loops and all. Those patching modulars are at obvious disadvantage

You know, I think theres a thread for this sort of thing
Maybe we should start a 10 minute challenge thread for people who want to graduate from the procrastination thread
Oddly entertaining. Kept thinking I was going to close it but watched all the way through. I think I was waiting for the dog to come bursting through chasing the cat....I guess you could have incorporated that somehow.
Actually pretty creative, especially for ten minutes, and I think you've got something here. Either a soundtrack for a public TV nature documentary, or background for a porn flick. You may have found your calling.
I end up with weather channel music in my strongest moments. This may sound a bit too sad for it, altough if weather is bad enough, why not.
Zero chance for animals in the frame, I see silverfish from time to time but they're probably hard to catch on camera (and I didn't record in the bathroom yet).
