Default Switch from Windows to apple

Hey all, so I've had so much trouble with windows audio, primarily pops and clicks. I've been advised by "experts" to everyday dummies like myself and still cannot get any lasting results. So, upon the opinion of experts to switch to a Mac, I've come to you seeking advice. With that said, questions arise.
1. How do I bring files over to Mac from cakewalk? I believe Reaper should be easier
2. Shall it be Mac mini or Mac studio or a laptop using M1 chip

Eagerly awaiting your responses.

Hey there!

I haven't even seen cakewalk in ages, so I can't help with that unfortunately.

But I can recommend the M1 mac machines. Compatibility issues are getting more and more rare, and they're very very powerful machines for the price.

Whether you should get a laptop or desktop is up to your use case. All of them are good machines. If you mean to travel and work, obviously get a laptop.
