100 percent agree with this. If you select an envelope area and delete, it means you want to reset the entire area, not simply the first point. That is literally why you are using AS to do this and not marquee or TS.
If you want to reset just the beginning or selected envelope points, you have both marquee select and TS to do this and is already the expected behavior (deleting a point or points, not an area). Making AS work the same way in regards to envelope points is simply incorrect.
