Default Tascam US-2400 Help

New to Reaper, I'm running 6/15/64 on an iMac. I have a Tascam US-2400 I'm hoping to use as a DAW controller, but am lost in setting up this device. Any tutorials or relevant threads available?

I'm coming to mixing with Reaper from years in tape based studios followed by about twelve years with a KORG D888, physical faders are a must for me. And I'm not the best with complex installs/protocalls, so would consider the Allen & Heath QU-16 if set-up is vastly simpler.

Been watching the MIDI control set-up video, and it looks like I'm going to go through every button and fader on the Tascam and set them up individually?

So I managed to get the transport buttons to work, but I can only seem to have a single fader assignment, so my Master fader and the track 1 fader both do the same thing (fade either the master or track one) as the key (fader for channel 1) is already mapped to master volume. Very confusing.

Check out these post, if you are patient you will find control for the tascam that is more powerful than anything in Logic or Cubase or any other.

I appreciate the links, however patience isn't the issue it is ability to deal with software/midi. Just over my head.
