Default Reaper crashes with DCAMEnvShaper

I’ve been using reaper for a wile now with no issues with DCAMEnvShaper, but recently it’s been crashing often when I use DCAMEnvShaper from FXPansion (even without manipulation).

Can you save a crash dump with a minimal project open, after a crash by right clicking REAPER.exe in task manager and choosing "Create dump file", then zipping and emailing that to support at cockos dot com? Thanks!

It seems that Reaper or the plug has created a dump file.

https://stash.reaper.fm/v/36155/2019...er%20Crash.dmp

Is it OK or you want the Reaper dump file ?

If just after the crash, Reaper disapears inside the window task, can I pick the dump file after lauching Reaper again ?

The issue seems to be happening on heavy projects.

Hmm can't really get anywhere with that dump file. Does 5.974 also crash? Can you narrow down the build where it broke? Maybe you can ask FXpansion? Also, does it have Hard Reset on playback start enabled for that plug-in? Try disabling it?

I've sent you a mail with the big dump file link.

The issue seems to occur when the Reaper project is heavy and the play button is pushed.

Yes.

Both make issue.

Try disabling it?
Yes, and there is no crash.

What do you mean ? I don't understand.

Ah, if disabling hard reset fixes the crash, then leave that disabled and we're done!

If you say 5.97 doesn't crash and 5.974 does crash, does 5.971 crash? 5.972? 5.973? etc

(looking at the big dump file now)

Hi,

Sorry there is a misunderstanding.
I thought you talk about disabling the plug ! Not the hard reset.

If i disable the hard reset, the issue continues.
If I disable the plug, there is no crash.

OK. That was a mistake. I have made more tests and 5.972, 5.973, 5.974 crash too.

I haven't been able to find the issue, can you tell me the exact version in which things broke? Ideally 5.97x, but if you can narrow it down to the specific +devXX build etc that would be even more helpful.

Hi ovnis,
maybe you could keep the meaningful thread title for others to find out, please?
Present title "Justin : there is a misunderstanding" evokes anything but the real problem presented in the thread, which may be helpful for others too.
Thanks

Hi Justin,

Reaper 5.975pre1/x64 crashes for exemple. It seems to happen when I use an action with "Go to start of time selection" inside it.

When I repeat quickly this custom action (transport play/stop; Go to start of time selection) it can crash if the project is heavy.
