Default Remove toolbar from MIDI editor

I would like to remove everything above the ruler in this editor view. I don't want the toolbar, and I don't want the gray space under it. I just want the menu bar.

Is there any way to eliminate this?

Right-click in a clear / blank area of the toolbar. From the menu, select Open Toolbar. Any visible toolbars will be 'ticked' (the MIDI editor toolbars are near the bottom of the list). Click on a ticked item to remove it.

Alternately, right-click in a clear blank area of the toolbar. From the menu select Position Toolbar. Select 'Floating' - then close the floated toolbar.

Thanks for the reply. I would think those things would work, too, but they don't. The toolbar is always forced into the top of the editor.

When I change the position to 'floating', I just get two toolbars.

Even the 'close toolbar' menu item does nothing when I click on it.

Right, so I should have checked before posting. You're right, that doesn't work in the MIDI editor, sorry about that, man. I think you might be stuck with it...

Well there might be a theme flag that allows me to set the minimum height to 0.

I know there is a line you can put in your rtconfig.tx like this:

tcp_master_minheight 24

That will override the minimum height of the master track. I don't know where I can find a list if these kinds of instructions, but maybe there's one for the MIDI toolbar.
