Default Getting rid of old drivers re Audiophile usb

Hi,

HELP! I'm trying to get my new m-audio audiophile USB audio interface to work on my wife's laptop but all I get is faint distorted sounds out of one channel and nothing from the other.

I'm trying to re-install the driver/software but I can't get rid of the old stuff (it doesn't appear in "Control panel-Programs and Features" & Using it's "un-install" .exe in it's folder in Program files doesn't seem to work either).

Can anyone help me with this.

Thanks

Mike
