Default Is it possible to automate Hardware send?

Hi ,
Is it possible to automate the hardware send fader, without using reainsert ?
i still havent figured out Reainsert properly and at time the roundtrip has given some amount of latency issues {probably because i am not setting it up right} but as of now the send faders are easy to look and set up a basic balance ,but when writing a score, the hardware sends need to be automated so thought if there was a way to do the same
regards
zook

I'm explaining how to exactly measure and compensate for audio system latency and how to use ReaInsert in this video:

That's an excellent video. This is the first thing anyone should do when they install Reaper (and/or a new interface).
